Description
Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is a commonly used plasticizer. It is also used as an additive to adhesives or printing inks. It is soluble in various organic solvents, e.g. in alcohol, ether and benzene. DBP is also used as an ectoparasiticide. As an ingredient of insect repellent. As a solvent lacquer and perfume fixative and as a dye carrier. As a textile lubricating agent and solid rocket propellant. Use as a plasticizers for nitro cellulose, cellulose esters and other lacquers and coating. Its excellent compatibility, stability and low odour make it attractive in paper coatings, leather shellac and chlorinated rubbers. It imparts flexibility and impacts strength of plastic. It is heaving excellent compatibility, stability and low odour. |
